Attorney Payne is a native New Yorker. She completed her undergraduate studies at Mercy College in New York where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2002. Ms. Payne went on to complete her legal studies at Fordham University School of Law graduating with her Juris Doctorate in 2005.
While at Fordham Ms. Payne was honored to receive the Best Overall Advocate Award for her accomplishments in trial advocacy. She was also awarded the Archibald Murray award for her service defending the citizens of New York in criminal matters at Lincoln Square Legal Services. Ms. Payne relocated to sunshine state in 2008 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2010.
Ms. Payne’s legal experience includes landlord/tenant law, family law, criminal law, small claims, foreclosure defense and debt settlement. Ms.Payne has served as legal counsel for several large corporate entities, non-profit organizations, small business owners and private individuals. Ms. Payne’s goal is to revive the client- centered model of advocacy. Her practice is guided by the philosophy that the best legal outcomes are achieved by operating with integrity and practicing in a manner that garners the respect of colleagues, confidence of clients, and trust of the tribunal.
